Chicken Pasta Casserole

The original recipe that I found here at Quick and Easy Dinner, was a little vague.  Here's how I made it:

1 can chicken breast - $1.79
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (If you want more cheesy goodness add another 1/2 - 1 cup of cheese) - $1
1 can mushrooms - 59 cents
1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies - 59 cents
1 can cream of mushroom - 59 cents
1 can cream of chicken - 59 cents
1 12 oz box of twisted elbow macaroni, cooked as directed - 99 cents

In a large pan over medium heat, mix cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, can tomatoes, and mushrooms.  Use a fork to shred up the can chicken and then add it to the pan and add cheddar.  Stir frequent and continue to heat through until the cheese is melted.  Add cooked pasta and mix together.

Next time I'll add green peppers and onions.  Mr. Ripples liked it but commented on the mushrooms since he is not a fan of those.  Both the girls ate it mushrooms and all.

Makes 9 - 1 cup servings
Each serving has 282 calories (unless you add extra cheese)

No Picture today, it came out really yellow and blurry and the foods already put away.

Total Cost of Recipe - $6.14 or 68 cents per serving

I served this with a  salad.
