Taking the kids grocery shopping

My plan was to make a list and stick to it.  I normally wait to do the shopping on payday Friday but we were really low on groceries.  I accidentally left a whole container of organic milk on the counter this morning before work and had to throw it away.  It makes me so mad when that happens.  Usually its the hubby that leaves food out, but this time I was to blame.  $3.50 down the drain.

Anyways, I took Little Ripples with me and she asked for every snack she saw.  I felt like I didn't get enough easy things for Mr. Ripples to make for himself on his nights off and enough dessert or snack items for the girls.  Then somehow at the register, I had all these things I forgot I picked up.  Next thing I know, the bill was $188 out of my bi-weekly grocery budget of $230.  I don't think I'll need to go to Acme this week.  But next weekend we are hosting a father's day cookout and I'll need to pick up more produce and milk.  I'll have to really watch the food budget.
