Busy Busy - Water Park and Shrek

Friday, we took the girls and a friend to an indoor water park in Sandusky. It was a 1 1/2 hour drive. I got off work a couple hours early and pulled the older kids out of school a little early. We were able to get to the water park by 4:45. We swam until the park closed at 9pm. The park opened again at 10 the next morning. We had to be on the road by 11 am so we let the kids swim for another 45 minutes before changing quickly and checking out.

Water Park Spending:
$184 plus tax for Water Park Groupon Package ($25 discount coupon code basically covered all the taxes)
$7.50 toll-roads

And that's It! I am very proud of ourselves. We didn't spend ANY money at the resort. The groupon was paid for with money my Grandpa gave the girls and I used ebates and will be getting close to $13 back.

The package included dinner: A large pizza, 6 drinks, Pasta with Alfredo sauce and 6 brownies for desert. It was more than the 5 of us could eat. Then Breakfast was included. It was a buffet of pancakes, eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, sausage and hash browns with juice and cover to drink. I packed cheese and crackers, juice boxes, pop, strawberries, chips, popcorn and cereal as snacks.

We all had a great time. Big R kept saying "Best Day Ever!". Then on Saturday, we got home from the water park at almost 1 pm. We had to leave to see Shrek the Musical at 1:30. I rushed myself and the girls through a shower and we dressed quickly. We made it just in time to meet my sister and parents for the show.

We had front row center seats. The play was great. All of the actors did a great job and after words the kids got to take some photos with the cast. The only thing I was a little disappointed about is they changed one part of the play that included one of my favorite songs. Instead of doing the song I liked, they did a couple songs I never heard before.

It was a fun weekend but it left me exhausted. I never sleep good in hotels and literally only got about 2 hours of sleep on Friday night at the resort. Then Mr. R and I stayed up watching Psych last night and I stayed up even later to read. There's just something about reading in the middle of the night when the house is completely quiet. It's the best time to read. Mr. R was awesome this morning and took the girls to church and an indoor playground. I got to sleep until 3 pm!
