I've gotten into the habit of always checking the Clearance items pretty much anytime I go in a store. It really helps to save money on items I know we will use. The trick is not picking up extra things just cause their cheap. But I'm getting better at resisting.
Today, I went to Walgreens to pick up a couple prescriptions. I always find great deals on their clearance items. Today I found a large bottle of Listerine for only $2.74 and a bottle of Crest Pro Health for $3.49. Then I went to the grocery store and the same bottle of Crest was over $5.
I love getting a deal. :)
