Cheesy Potatoes and Ham - Crock Pot

4 Red potatoes, Sliced - 50 cents
1 cup sliced mushrooms - 60 cents
1 medium onion, chopped - 20 cents
1 medium green pepper, chopped - 65 cents
8 slices of ham, cut up (I had leftover lunch meat that I used up but diced ham would work too) - 87 cents
1 cup light sour cream - 50 cents
1 can cream of mushroom soup - 59 cents
1 cup sharp cheddar Cheese - $1
1 tablespoon onion powder - 10 cents
1 tablespoon garlic salt - 10
cents

Mix it all up in the crock pot, set it on low for 7 hours.

Came out great.  No complaints about the vegetables.  The sauce was a little runny at first but after I took it out of the crock pot it started to thicken up as it cooled.  Next time I might add a little flour to make it thicker.

Made 5 servings - approximately 330 calories per serving

Total Cost - $5.11 or $1.02 per serving

  1. Yum, that looks interesting. I would probably boil mine over with lots of cut small vegetables (peas especially). I think it'd go great with it. Something about peas and ham just goes so well together. Though I am 100% sure my parents wouldn't touch it if I could make it. I really need to get a crockpot for Christmas!

    1. Peas would be good. I'll have to add next time.
