Friday - We took the girls to play mini-golf. A place near our house had it on sale for $3 per game. Little Ripples was free since she is only 3 years old. The girls had a great time.
Saturday - Big Ripples had her first play date at our house that wasn't a family friend. She had a friend from school come over from 11 - 2:30. They had a great time playing and her friend was really nice and included Little Ripples. I ordered a pizza and a family sized salad for lunch. We don't usually order pizza but I wanted to do something a little special. I ordered online and had a coupon code so I only spent $13.98. Mr. Ripples picked it up. Not bad considering it fed 2 adults and 3 children and the girls ate the leftovers for dinner.
My sister brought her son over to play and Mr. Ripples and I walked to a restaurant nearby for dinner. It was only a 10 minute walk. We had a BOGO coupon for the meals. He had a couple beers and I had a fancy Key Lime Pie drink that was awesome! We spent $45 including tip. (This was a little more than we would usually spend but eating out comes out of our personal spending money. We each get some money each pay check to spend however we choose as our personal money.)
Sunday - Definitely a lazy day for me. Little Ripples woke up with a fever. I laid around with her most of the morning. She watched tv and I played with my nook. For some reason my nook reset as if I had never used it before and I had to set everything back up and download some apps again. Then Little Ripples and I took a nice long nap. Her fever is gone now and she finally ate at dinner. Dinner was easy. I made nachos with beans, cheese, salsa and jalapenos. Mr. Ripples and Big Ripples went to go to the store to pick up a few things we need. We only have $26 left in the grocery budget til Friday and but with Mr. Ripples doing the shopping today, I know we won't make it.
I cooked up some hamburgers that I had thawed to make for dinner tonight and then changed my mind and decided I wanted nachos. We'll just heat them up tomorrow for dinner. I'm also going to make some lemon whoopie pie cookies tonight. I bought the mix on clearance at aldi a month or two ago and never made them.
