I went to Aldi's today. Didn't have a list but didn't do too bad. I got what I needed to make the following dinners:
Vegetarian Chili
Shredded Chicken Sandwich Filling with Hoagie Buns
Chicken Stuffing Casserole
Keilbasa and Red Beans and Rice
Hot Dogs
I had planned on ordering food from somewhere tomorrow for my birthday but now I'm not so sure. I might just make the shredded chicken in the crock pot for sandwiches.
Saturday is my birthday dinner at my moms.
I do need to pick up some more produce and maybe come up with the makings for 1 more dinner this week at Acme. I spent $89 at Aldi. So far I've spent $180 towards my goal of only spending $400 on groceries this month.
I have $20 left for Acme and a $10 off grocery coupon that I got for filling prescriptions. So I can spend $30 at Acme until pay day... next Friday, to stay on track. I'm going to try really hard to stay on track.
Aldi is the best. That store is so cheap. Its defiantly no frills, but its a great place to save some $$$!
