Mr. Ripples and I just got home from shopping. We went to Aldi, Dollar Tree and Acme. We had $106 left to spend on groceries and went a little over. We ended up spending.$126. But our cupboards, freezer and refrigerator are so full I don't think we could fit anything else in there. Some of the deals at Acme required me to stock up on items to get the savings and be able to use my coupons. But the prices ended up being really cheap for items I know we will use. Our total at Acme was $99.45 but after all the sale prices and coupons were deducted it only came to $59.67, a 40% savings. Woohoo! And I added 15 cents to my Fuel Rewards Card.
So I decided to go through and balance the bank accounts and pay some bills. We had extra money both in the joint checking account and the joint savings. I can't figure out where this money was supposed to go which makes me nervous and wonder what I forgot.
I just paid $459 on our credit card and our EF is up to $875 plus I wrote the $321 check to mail to the car insurance company. I thought I wouldn't be able to pay the insurance company till after pay day but somehow I have the money now. I'll probably realize I made a mistake in a couple days and have to take the money back out of savings to cover everything. I hate when our accounts don't add up, but if they have to be off I'd rather it be positive.
I am glad I am not the only one. I swear, I am more calm when I am overdraft vs when there's money sitting in my account and I don't know what it is from. I really have to go to Acme and get me some frozen veggies from the stock up sale.
